Q: Why am I not getting power? The running light and brake light aren't coming on.
A: Check and make sure the connector is properly connected. Make sure the pins inside the connector are pushed up to the top of the connector. The pins inside the connector must make contact with the pins inside your factory connector. Aslo, check and make sure the metal pin inside the connector is crimped through the plastic covering over the black wire.

Q: Why doesn't the tailight change brightness when I depress the brakes?
A: Re-install your factory taillight and if it does the same and it seems very bright then the problem is with your rear brake lever. What is happening is your brake light is stuck on. Your rear brake lever has a button that either pushes out or pushes in to activate the brake light. Many times, the rear brake lever does not fully engage or dis-engage this switch; therefore never shutting off the brake signals to the taillight. Check your rear brake lever and make sure the switch is working properly.

Q: My brake light works but I have no running lights, even my headlights and instrument cluster lights don't come on. What's wrong?
A: You have a blown fuse. Replace the fuse then prior to turning on your bike, make sure the yellow wires are connected to the positive turnsignal wires. Also, make sure your front turnsignals are wired correctly. See next problem/solution below which will explain about front signal wiring. Also, if you have a Honda, please refer to the diagram at the bottom of this page.

Q: When I turn on my bike, why does the yellow stay on and not blink.
A: You have constant power going to the rear signal wires. Re-install your factory blinkers, if they also stay lit then there is problem with the front blinker wiring. The rear signals are not supposed to stay on which means that the rear signals are receiving constant power most likely due to incorrect wiring with the front blinkers. If you install an aftermarket front blinkers, such as; LED's or flush mounts with only two wires then you must only connect the ground wire and the turnsignal wires. If you have a third wire from your bike (Honda's, Yamaha's, and Cruiser bike) then leave this disconnected. This wire is called the running wire and is designed to have your front blinkers stay on all the time. This wire cannot be used unless your new front signals have this third wire. Some anufactures suggest that if you still want running lights in the front, they ask you to connect this 3rd wire with your turnsignal wire. This is not recommended as it will now send constant power to the rear turnsignal wire. Your front turnsignal wire and rear turnsignal wires are connected together. If you touch the running wire with the turnsignal wire you will now be adding power to the rear signal wire, therefore making the yellow shine on the taillight.

Q: When I turn on my turnsignals, why does the yellow stay on and not blink.
A: You may have aftermarket front blinkers and will need to use the provided resistors.

Q: Why does my turn signal on one side stays lit all the time.
A: You have connected the turn signal to your license plate light connector. Use the provided resistors

Q: Why does my turn signals seem dim?
A: Check and make sure you connected the turn signal wires to the positive and not the ground wires.

Q: Why does my running light work but my brake light doesn't?
A: Check and make sure that the metal pin inside the connector is crimped through the plastic covering over the green wire.

Q: Why does my brake light work but my running light doesn't?
A: Check and make sure that the metal pin inside the connector is crimped through the plastic covering over the red wire.

Q: Why do my turn signals blink too fast?
A: Either replace your flasher unit w/ a variable load flasher or use the provided resistors. Click here for instructions on how to install.

Q: Why do the resistors heat up?
A: Resistors will generate heat as it is designed to replace your bulbs. We recommend you mount away from any plastic or painted surfaces.

Q: Why don't my turn signals cancel my running/brake light when my brakes are applied?
A: This may be the case for Kawasaki's. We recommend that you change the flasher unit with a an electric flasher. Click here for instructions on how to install.

Some simple problems may occur on Honda's from year 2000-2005. These problems may include the following:

1. My fuses keep blowing
2. One side of the taillight does not work

Solution: Please check the wiring connection on the bulb socket (Black piece that your bulbs plug into). This piece has a white connector that plugs into the back. There are 3 wires that go into the white connector; Yellow/green stripe - Running wire, Brown wire - ground wire, Green wire - brake wire. Make sure the white connector plugs into the black socket with the green wire facing the same side as the work "LOCK" (Pictured with a red circle). Make sure both connectors (right side and left side) are connected the same. After this procedure, plug in our taillight and start the bike. If the light does not illuminate or only one side illuminates, just un-plug our connector, turn the connector 180 degrees and try again.
